We held our inaugural Renew Hamilton Speaker Series event on June 14 at the recently opened King George Ballroom at Liuna Station in downtown Hamilton. The series – titled Conversations with Christopher Hume and Guests – is intended to help promote inspired urban environments in Hamilton through sharing global best practices and stimulating progressive urban renewal.
Last week’s conversation featured a design panel and focused on ways to accelerate promising signs of regeneration in our downtown and waterfront areas.
The recording below captures Christopher Hume’s summary comments at the close of the evening. Here he challenges Hamilton to act on a signature project (such as two-way street conversions in sections of our downtown) that would signal to the world a willingness to embrace bold change.
