The conversion of the heritage property at 95 King Street East in downtown Hamilton to a combination cultural centre and artist live-work space is capturing media attention locally and beyond. This distinctive adaptive reuse project – a partnership between CityHousing Hamilton Corporation and the City of Hamilton’s Urban Renewal unit headed by Glen Norton – is intended to help spark additional commercial and residential development activity in an area of downtown adjacent to Gore Park.
The 95 King development is featured in a Renew Hamilton video case study released earlier this year. It includes commentary by Vimal Sarin, project manager with CityHousing Hamilton Corporation (pictured below).
