Today’s Hamilton Spectator included an article announcing the green light for a pilot project to test the viability of a stroll area along the south leg of King Street between James and Hughson.
This is good news from a number of perspectives, including Renew Hamilton. We have begun working with the Downtown BIA, City of Hamilton and several developers to document physical changes to The Gore over the next three years.
A key initiative we’re tracking is The Gore Master Plan. And an important component of the plan is the pedestrian pilot. So our story is coming together. It will be important to promote and support the pilot – a positive outcome will help propel the overall master plan forward. Renew Hamilton will also profile The Gore at our inaugural speaker series event on June 21.
