Robert Hamilton of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario led a walking tour of the Gore Park precinct in downtown Hamilton on January 6, 2013.
The purpose of the tour was to increase citizens’ knowledge of the Gore and its remaining stock of historic buildings and monuments.
Robert did a great job of highlighting efforts through time to repurpose buildings to meet changing needs. He also explained how the roughly 150 tour participants can become actively involved in ongoing renewal efforts, including supporting the full implementation of the Gore Master Plan.
The Gore will be one of five projects featured in a series of Renew Hamilton video case studies due to be released in February 2013.
Stay tuned for more.
